They don't want to be included in coalition against IS.

Fucking wimps.

Do they actually even have an army?

This could end up right on their doorstep, they should be more concerned than us the cnuts!!!!!

The sort of thing that happened in the East is portrayed in the Russian film Come and See, One of the best films I have ever seen. Very harrowing it stays with you for a long time after watching it.

Did you get the Livorno-Bastia ferry?

Re: France

I went last year, around Easter, with a mate and we got that ferry. The weather was good too so made the scenery even better. We went the other way though, Bastia to Livorno.

We did the whole lot by train and boat on the way out. Train to London- Eurostar to Paris- Train to Marseilles and then a boat across to Ajaccio. The train journey from Ajaccio - Bastia is stunning in places. Takes a while but worth it.

Hardly any Russians about this year - such a shame.

Re: France
No, I haven't been to Moscow, but from what I've seen of Russians abroad I'm sure you're right. I could probably tolerate the rough as arseholes cuntiness of the Russians better than the snot nosed Parisian version, in all honesty.

If you think that Parisians are the worst, yoyve clearly never met a Muscovite.

Just got back from a Tuscany and Corsica round trip - all in all nice enough though they hardly speak a word of English while the Italians like to show it off (which they do with a lot of things, and even have a right to when it comes to women, food and art/architecture/clothes).

Re: France
Parisians are by far the cuntiest big city people I've come across, far exceeding, say, Londoners and New Yorkers, who are generally helpful and welcoming. Utter cunts. I get by reasonably in French, and whereas the rest of the country is appreciative and complimentary, the Parisians are snot nosed cunts who make out they can't understand a word. Fucking hate the bastards, that beautiful city is wasted on them.

Luke - the Church is sad beyond words, they've left the actual kid's pushchairs and prams there. At that point Mrs Neilalex simply cried her eyes out.

The French are wimps because they refuse to rush to war.

Good for them.

Re: France
Lovely country and outside of Paris mostly friendly people. Could do better on personal hygiene.

Parisians have misplaced sense of superiority and are rude like most big city dwellers.

French are very partisan just like many Brits want to be but we criticise them for it.

If it were not for the channel we to would have been overwhelmed by the German army.

"back down to no one"

Highly debatable.

Re: France
I'm with Crassus on this one I like the French, a good lot .
Normally drive down to the south west and spend the new year year there with some English mates who live down there.
Great food fantastic wine and we ignore their new year and as it's an hour earlier than ours much to the amusemant of the locals.
It's always a big one New Year's Day after a few pastis's early doors and a wild boar hunting session.
The French stick to their traditions and back down to no one, something to admire I reckon.

Been to Oradour sur Glane, terrible what happened there.

The Germans had an officer captured and had been told he was held etc at OSG, when in fact he was at Oradour sur Vayres, some distance away to the south.

That error was to cost over 600 people their lives - the place was surrounded and the Germans demanded him back, but the villagers there genuinely knew nothing about it.

The men were marched away to three separate locations and shot / burned.

The women and children were barricaded into the church which was then fire-bombed and burnt out...

Lest we forget...
